Notary Public


A Notary Public is a state-appointed individual who is commissioned by the Governor to carry out the following functions:

  1. Administer oaths and affirmations.
  2. Take acknowledgment of oath.
  3. Attest to photocopies of certain documents.
  4. Provide oath for marriages.
  5. Verify vehicle identification numbers (VINs).
  6. Certify the contents of safe deposits.
