Power of Attorney

apostilla

A Power of Attorney is a legal document that grants legal rights to a third party. When you grant a Power of Attorney to someone, you authorize that person the legal right to act on your behalf on your legal and economic matters.

These matters may include bill payments, bank account deposits and withdrawals, investing your money, collecting money on your behalf, purchasing goods or assets on your behalf, selling of your property or representing you before any authority to retrieve documentation in your behalf.

The person granting the Power of Attorney is called the Grantor and the person receiving it is called the Attorney-in-fact.

We at New Land ServicesĀ® have ample experience in drafting and completing Power of Attorney letters of all kinds to be used solely outside of the country, in Spanish or Portuguese. These documents need to be notarized and bear the Apostille de La Haye, when used outside of the country.
